microBIOME
PLANT DIVERSITY supports a healthy microbiome. Our health, mental and physical wellbeing, is linked to the microbiome that exists in our gut. The best way to support that gut flora is by eating a diverse diet of 30+ fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes. It is so easy to do this when you’re not eating meat because your diet will consist mainly of this fibrous diversity.
Why 30+ plant diversity?
Each plant has a different make up, supporting the diversity of the gut flora. Each bacteria in the gut feeds off different food. Most of us probably eat only 10 different plants a week. You can switch up what you eat by buying what is in season and making yummy raw sauces to put on top of salads. My blender is my bestie, where I make raw creations to put on top of meals. I always am growing sprouts on my kitchen counter - which is another great way to add living diverse foods to your plate. You can also supplement that diversity with tinctures and tea!
By supporting the microbiome, you support your mental and physical health and lower inflammation in the body.
