TEA infusions

There are many ways to TEA. Most of us are used to steeping our tea in hot water. There are so many ways to create an herbal infusion - you can even leave your tea in a jar and leave it on your window sill to bathe in the sun rays. You can create a full moon infusion as well - leaving your jar of water and tea outside over night. Sun and moon infusions are best done with herbal teas rather than black teas.

SOLAR INFUSION

My favourite way to do any infusion is to put my loose leaf tea in a French press because it’s easy to strain my tea once it’s ready. A glass jar can be used, too, but you’ll have to strain the leaves out first to enjoy, which could be done with a mylk muslin cloth.

Drinking tea in whichever ritual you please is so nourishing. Herbal teas contain lots of minerals we need, such as B12 and iron. Teas are an easy way to increase plant diversity - which it’s recommended to have at least 30 different plants a week for our gut microbiome and overall health. Teas are full of antioxidants, anti-microbial and anti-viral effects, and have the ability to uplift and calm.

If you haven't tried solar and lunar infusions, give it a go. It’s such a beautiful ritual set with intention to connect with nature and infuse goodness into your body.
